This charts the journey between Oxford and Cambridge,
via Bicester, Buckingham, Newport Pagnell and Bedford.
Each of the map's seven ribbons includes a compass to provide an idea of direction,
and landmarks such as woods, windmills and bridges are also illustrated
to help guide the traveller along his way.
The countryside passed through is also described,
adding to the charm of this fine piece of artwork.
