Birds eye views of "Hartforde" and "Verolanium" (St Albans) are portrayed,
along with two armorial devices of the Earls of Hertford.

Just underneath the depiction of Verolanium is an interesting history of "the most ancient town",
and in the bottom right hand corner is a history of the major battles of St Albans and High Barnet.

This map brilliantly illustrates how rural this now built up area used to be,
with Hatfield wood and Enfield Chase shown, making this a must have for anyone with connections to the area.
