near Charlbury, Oxfordshire - Viscount Dillon

"Sir Henry le Dillon accompanied the Earl of Morton, afterwards King John, into Ireland in 1185. His descendant, Sir Theobald Dillon, many years later commanded a volunteer troop in Queen Elizabeths reign, and received the honour of Knighthood on the field of battle, 1559. He was created Viscount Dillon in 1621, and was afterwards Lord President of Connaught.
