These are uniquely hand coloured reproduction road maps,
showing the important routes of the 17th Century, after John Ogilby.
Measuring c. 20" x 16", these maps have been reproduced onto good quality paper.
Our handcoloured maps are on pale ivory paper and are painstakingly hand coloured, using sable brushes and traditional watercolours and inks. There is no printed colour on them whatsoever!
As they are individually hand coloured, each one is unique and very desirable - a work of art in it's own right. They may therefore differ slightly from the pictures shown on the site.
Our printed items are printed on good quality Cream Vellum 120 gsm paper using the Giclée process
and are virtually indistinguishable from the original.
They are posted in a stout cardboard mailing tube for maximum protection in transit.
Although not totally accurate from a cartography point of view, these maps display a charm and naivete that cannot be found in today's hi-tech world.
All the prices shown on this site included postage and packing. We accept payment via PayPal, Cheque or Postal Order.
!!Please note that red watermarks shown on our images are not present on the finished product!!
We can also supply these maps window mounted and framed, with professionally executed, pale ivory conservation grade mount, and framed in a traditional dark walnut and gold frame.
The overall size of the framed article is around 26" x 22".
